Despite the short notice, Samridh Singh from the MechSE Undergraduate Programs Office arranged a private tour for me. The Uber ride from Purdue to UIUC also gave me another first. Somewhere during the drive, I crossed from Eastern Time into Central Time. For the first time in my life, I experienced a time-zone change by car. I arrived at UIUC and explored the mechanical engineering side of campus, including the Sidney Lu Mechanical Engineering Building and the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory. I also built the Illinois Block I out of LEGO and took photos with it at the places that caught my attention around campus. The mechanical engineering buildings. The Main Quad. Alma Mater.
